Eros
son to Aphrodite and either Zeus , Ares or Heremes. Aphrodite never kept track of things like that.
Eros, God of love, power and sexual prowess. He doesn’t age, he youthens.
Husband to the mortal Psyche. Eros is often confused with his Roman conterpart,
Cupid, many mortals know no better. Eros wasn't always the son of Aphrodite, nor the God of Love.
In early Greek myth, he was the son of Chaos. He was seen as the great creative, cohesive force in men's lives.
The builder of cities, friendship and so forth. It wasn't until much later he transformed into the son
of Aphrodite and God of Love.
PSYCHE
A mortal woman born to a king.
She had 2 sisters, but Psyche, unlike her sisters, was bestowed extreme beauty.
Psyche was quite the looker that her beauty was compared to that of Aphrodite.
The Goddess of love couldn’t handle that.
Eros, looked upon Psyche and fell hopelessly in love.
Aphrodite found out about Eros’ secret love and with all her attempts tried to put a stop to it,
and end Psyche’s life. In the end, all worked out and Eros married Psyche.
This is one of my favorite love stories. I recommend you find a copy if you love romance.
I can read it over and over never to bore.
